Schoolboys’ Chess
The sixth round of the New Zealand schoolboys' chess championship was played In Christchurch yesterday. Results:—P. Kelly (Wellington) beat E. Bures (Wellington), A. Day (Auckland) beat R. Benlson (Otago), B. Patterson (Otago) beat R. Chaplin (Canterbury). The game between B. Ander son (Canterbury) and R. Metge (Auckland) was adjourned. Points:— Day 4|, Anderson 34. Metge. Kelly and Patterson 3, Benson and Chaplin 1, Bures 0 Metge and Anderson have a game in hand.
The final round will be played today In the Canterbury Chess Club's rooms, Bealey avenue.
