Lions’ Captain Injured <N Z. Press Association) HAMILTON. The captain of the touring British Isles Rugb. team, M. J. Campbell-Lamerton, who was selected to play in the prop position for the Lions against Waikato at Hamilton, decided to withdraw after practice yesterday. His place has been taken by D. Williams and A. E. 1. Pask will captain the side. Campbell-Lamerton said he hurt his right shoulder in the third test and again in Wednesday’s match against the New Zealand Juniors. “After a trial at practice today I found I was not strong enough to grip hooker K. W. Kennedy,” he said.
Rugby Union’s Town Area The northern boundary of the Canterbury Rugby Union’s town area is now th* Wafmakariri river. The union’s executive approved this southwards move when considering recommendations from a sub-union committee. . This means that KaiapoL which was within the old town boundaries but affiliated to the North Canterbury Subunion, is now in North Canterbury.
