The Bishop of Christchurch (the Rt. Rev. W. A. Pyatt) has been elected to the New Zealand Lepers’ Trust Board. He will represent the Melanesian Mission. The Rt. Rev. A. K. Warren, who formerly represented the mission, remains on the board. Mr P. Proctor, of Wellington, was also, elected to the board. These appointments were made at the quarterly meeting of the board in Christchurch on Wednesday. The Canterbury Progress League has accepted the resignation of its secretary (Mr C. N. Todd). He will become secretary of the New Zealand Youth Hostels Association.

The reclamation has been planned by Nelson City Council engineers, and if the council approves it, work could begin within two years The council is buying a suction dredge which would be used in conjunction with the Nelson Harbour Board’s dredge for the reclamation work.
