Police Seeking Driver
The Christchurch police are seeking the driver of a Vauxhall car involved in a collision with a motor-scooter at the corner of Colombo street and Gloucester street at 12.55 a.m. on Wednesday, August 24. The driver did not stop after the accident. The car is described as a 1948-52 LIP Vauxhall, darkbrown. with some damage on the left side. Any one who knows anything about the car is asked to get in touch with the motor accident inquiry branch at the Central Police Station. The rider of the motorscooter, Martin Jones, of 141 Langdons road, is on the seriously ill list in the Princess Margaret Hospital.
