Court Awards £63'9 f.XZ Press Association) AUCKLAND, August 31. In a reserved judgment after a 21-day hearing in April. May and June, Mr Justice Woodhouse has awarded £63”9 to a Wellington timber company which claimed £160.865 in an action against an Auckland firm. The plaintiff was the Retaruke Timber Company, of Wellington, and the defendant the Pokaka Timber Company, of Morningside, Auckland. His Honour said that the parties entered into a contract for the sale and purchase of trees growing on the plaintiff’s property of 1535 acres west of the National Park mountains. The claims related to timber alleged to have been left on the property and to royalty increases. He reserved the question of costs. The Pokaka Company had paid £15,000 into Court.
