Queen’s Guides
One hundred and fifty Queen’s guides from all over New Zealand will attend a special function at Government House, Wellington, on September 2. The guides and scouts will join a parade to Government House, where they will be addressed by the Governor-Gen-eral (Sir Bernard Fergusson). Each girl will wear her Queen’s Guide Badge, which is a personal award from the Queen, and a sign that she has earned through knowledge, and the service to others, the highest award of her guide career.
