SHORTENED BY 3in
Tall Swedish Girl (N.Z. Press Assn.-Copyright) OEREBRO (Sweden), August 32A six-foot-two-inch Swedish girl, who said she walked in the gutter to make herself look smaller, has been shortened by three inches, doctors said today. Professor Helge Sjoewall, chief surgeon at Oerebro Hospital, said he had recently removed two one-and-a-half inch segments from her thigh bones and relinked the bones, arteries and muscles. The girl, pretty 19-year-old Anne-Charlotte Vestlund, of Degerfors, said she was more than six feet when she was 15 years old. “My friends made fun of me, calling me flagpole and the giraffe. I became lonely and neurotic,” she said.
