Boys’ Brigade Table Tennis
Two junior members of the 12th Christchurch company of the Boys’ Brigade took most of the placings in the singles and doubles finals of the Canterbury Battalions’ Table Tennis competition. The boys, G. Murdock and A. Dick, entered in both the junior and senior sections of the competition. They won the junior doubles and were placed second in the senior doubles. G. Murdock won the junior singles and was second in the senior singles while A. Dick was second in the junior singles. Results of finals were: .Junior Singles.—G. Pollock (Ist Christchurch) 3. Junior Doubles.—A. Dick and G. Murdock (12th Christchurch) 1, G. Wasley and C. Banburry (11th Christchurch) 2, J. Knight and G. Clarke (21st Christchurch) 3. Senior Doubles.—T. Chaston (21st Christchurch) and B. Banburry (2nd Christchurch) 1, G. Murdock and A. Dick (12th Christchurch) 2, G. Pollock and D. Pollock (Ist Christchurch) 3.
