Course For Girls
About 110 girls between 13 and 15 are attending a glamour workshop organised by the Christchurch Y.W.C.A., as part of a programme of holiday activities. The workshop includes i courses on the care of hair, gemstone jewellery, ballroom dancing, party foods, skin care and make-up, deportment and modelling and grooming and wardrobing. Hostesses for the courses are Mrs Y. Keats, Mrs N. Farnley, Miss L. Martin and Miss C. Storr. The workshop will end on Friday. From September 5 to 9 the Y.W.C.A. will hold school certificate coaching classes in mathematics, English and French. Each class will be limited to about 50 boys and 50 girls.
