Services Win.—New Zealand Combined Services Rugby team beat Golden BayMotueka, 22-3, in a game at Motueka yesterday. Combined led 11-0 at half-time. Exciting Draw.—Taranaki and Hawke’s Bay battled to an exciting 13-all draw in a representative Rugby match at New Plymouth, yesterday. But the match was only tied after the Hawke's Bay fullback, I. Bishop, had converted a try with his second attempt The Taranaki players had charged Bishop’s off-target kick too soon. North Auckland Win.—After leading by eight points, the Counties-Thames Valley combined Rugby team brought about its own downfall and North Auckland finally beat it 16-14, at Papakura, yesterday. Selectors Sought.—The New Zealand Rugby League coun ci! has called for nominations for selectors for next season s New Zealand northern region and southern region sides. They will be chosen on Sep tember 11.
