Darts Feat Challenged
fXZ. Press Association) GREYMOUTH. West Coast darts enthusiasts have challenged the claim of a Hawke’s Bay women’s darts team that it may have established a world record in scoring 1,000,001 in 15hr 51min. “The only possible way that this feat could have been achieved in that time would be by every player using a teparate board and this does not comply with proper procedure in record bids,” said a player. He said if the score as claimed was reached on one board it meant that over 1000 points had to be scored every minute, which was impossible. “Unless,” he added, “the players were all 180 badge holders who could shoot the maximum consistently.”
