PROTEST TO PEKING
(N.Z.P.A -Reuter—Copyright > BERLIN, Aug. 31. East Germany has protested sharply to China against alleged mishandling of its diplomats and their families during the recent Red Guard demonstrations in Peking.
The protest said that the East German military attache in Peking, his wife and son, as well as the military attache to North Vietnam and his wife, were stopped in Peking by demonstrators as they drove in a car with diplomatic licence plates. They were manhandled and mistreated while police looked on.
