The University of Texas has given, a special stipend to a mother of six children whose husband was killed by the sniper, Charles Joseph Whitman, on the university grounds more than two weeks ago. Mrs Marilyn Walchuk was given a 2000-dollar stipend and a 400-dollar allowance for each child to enable her to resume studies for a master’s degree in special education of the emotionally disturbed. Harry Walchuk was shot as he stood in a campus book store. Walchuk was an instructor at Alpena Community College and was doing summer studies at the University of Texas.
