SNATCHEM BEATEN
Poor Run By Derby Hope (Special Crspdt. N.Z P A.) BRISBANE. A.J.C. Derby hopes for Snatchem dem-lnished when the Le Filou colt ran fifth of six starters in the Encourage Handicap (10 furlongs and a half) at Eagle Farm on Saturday. Snatchem started 5/4 favourite. The race was won by Kiown by three-quarters of a length from Miss Winston with Liscoe three lengths away third. Snatchem may have been unlucky as he was checked by another horse when going for an inside run in the straight. Nevertheless, his connexions were very disappointed.
