Autobe Was Checked
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. About a furlong from the finish of the Jurie Stakes at Tauherenikau on Saturday David Jeff moved in slightly and caused R. W. Taylor, the rider of Autobe, to ease his mount. Autobe came again on the outside. M. H. Donoghue, the rider of David Jeff, was charged with causing interference. After hearing evidence the judicial committee found that though interference did take place it had no bearing on the result. Donoghue was reprimanded. The committee took into account his inexperience.
