BLIGHT IN FORESTS
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 21. Fungicide would be sprayed on 50,000 acres of pine forest in the Central North Island, said the Assistant DirectorGeneral of Forests (Mr A. P. Thomson) last week. The spraying is to check the spread of the blight dothistroma, and will be undertaken by the Forest Service and nine owners.
