SOUTH ISLAND CYCLING TITLE.—C. McNaught of Otago (left) won the South Island cash cycling 50-miles championship on Saturday when it was held from Ashburton to Christchurch for the first time. McNaught won the title by taking the fastest time from the Christchurch rider, K. R. Jeffery (right), by half a wheel.
