Radio Taken From Car
I A portable radio, valued at £45, was stolen from an unlocked car in Holly road in the early hours of Saturday. Cigarettes, valued at £22 4s sd, were stolen from Godfrey’s Foodmarket, 8 Bower avenue, between 9 p.m. on Friday and 8.30 p.m. on Saturday. A purse and contents, valued at £4 15s, were stolen from a car parked in the Addington show grounds on Saturday afternoon. The sum of £2l was stolen from the till of the Railway Cafe, Manchester street, between 1 a.m. and 1.20 a.m. yesterday. A carcase of lamb, valued at £2 15s 3d, was stolen from the Clyde Butchery, at 233 Ricearton road at the weekend.
