JOINT UNION SCHEME
Drivers And Labourers (N.t. Preu Association' AUCKLAND, August 19. The Northern Drivers’ Union and the Northern and Taranaki Labourers* Unions plan to form an association to work together on industrial disputes and in the negotiation of industrial awards where they have men employed jointly on the same projects. The aim is to work under the name of the Northern Transport and General Workers’ Union, with the separate unions continuing to administer their day-to-day activities. Their combined strength is about 13,000.
