N.Z. GIRL KILLED
New Caledonia Car Accident (N Z. Pres* Aisociation) AUCKLAND. Aug. 18. A New Zealand girl was killed and another seriously injured in a car accident in New Caledonia early this week. The dead girl was Neryl Elsie Bice, aged 18, single, a clerk, the daughter of Mr and Mrs H. W. Bice, of Rautawhiri road, Helensville. Miss Janet Powell, aged 18, a student, the daughter of Mr and Mrs G. M. Powell, of 32 Porter crescent, Helensville, suffered serious head injuries. Her condition was reported to be improving tonight. The two girls had arrived in New Caledonia two days before the accident to start a two-week holiday.
