VIETNAMESE MEDAL
Approval By Queen "The Press" Special Serviet AUCKLAND, August 19. The Queen has formally approved an order allowing New Zealand soldiers to wear the medal which the South Vietnamese Government has awarded to all allied forces serving in South Vietnam. The Vietnamese campaign medal is a six-pointed star in white enamel with a background of gold enamel. The centre features a map of Vietnam in gold on a green background, with red flames superimposed to signify freedom.
The ribbon is green and white and the order stipulates that it follows all British awards on uniforms.
