Gold Award For Chch. Scout
A Christchurch Venturer scout, Paul Lamb, aged 18. from the Akatea scout district, has become the fifteenth boy scout in New Zealand to receive the Duke of Edinburgh gold award. He began his career in the movement about 11 years ago as a cub in the Shirley pack. Paul has acted as assistant cub master to that group for the last two years. While a senior scout with the Shirley group, Paul became a Queen’s Seout. He gained the Duke of Edinburgh silver award last December.
