REPORT DENIED
Mishap To Inverell (N Z Press Association) AUCKLAND, Aug. 19. A senior Navy officer in Wellington today denied a report that the fisheries protection ship H.M.N.Z.S. Inverell had broken down off Fiji during her island cruise. It was reported in Auckland today that a section of furnace wall in the Inverell had crumbled and caused a boiler fault. The fault was not expected to delay the ship’s return to Auckland next week. The official said the Navy Office had no knowledge of the mishap.
