MURDER CHARGE
Constable Dies (N Z Press Association) DUNEDIN, August 15. The two Dunedin gaol escapers who were recaptured early today will be charged with murder in the Dunedin Magistrate’s Court tomorrow morning.
A constable who was allegedly attacked by James Thomas Wilson and Colin Paul Morrison as they escaped died at 8 o’clock tonight.
The constable was Donald Stokes, aged 23. married. His father is constable in charge at Burnham. Constable Stokes spent his two years in the. force at Dunedin.
