EXPORT TO MALAYSIA

Big Increase For Y 7 ear

In 1965 New Zealand’s exports to Malaysia at £1,750,000, reached the highest level yet, said the latest issue of “Export News,” the official journal of the Department of Industries and Commerce. The 1965 figure was 30 per cent above that for the previous year. The journal said that this increase was the outcome of a steadily expanding trade to this market. Malaysia was a developing market for most goods. “Like New Zealand, many countries are exploiting this development to secure for their goods a permanent place there,” said the journal. “The visit of a New Zealand Manufacturers’ Federation Trade Mission in April strengthened the growing realisation among local traders that New Zealand, besides being a reliable and efficient supplier of agricultural products, also offers an extensiva range of manufactured goods.”
