SISTERS OF ST. JOSEPH

Celebration Of Centenary The Roman Catholic Bishop of Christchurch (the Most Rev. B. P. Ashby) will open and bless a new chapel at the convent of the Sisters of St. Joseph, North Parade. Shirley, on Sunday as part of the order's centennial celebrations in the South Island. All 47 sisters of the order working in the South Island will attend the ceremony. They will also attend the main centennial celebrations, to be held in Temuka on Saturday. In Temuka. a thanksgiving mass will be celebrated by five bishops—Archbishop J. M. Liston, the Most Rev. B. P. Ashby, the Most Rev. J. P. Kavanagh (Dunedin), the Most Rev. O. Sneedon (Wellington) and the Most Rev. R. J. Delargey (Auckland).
