A New Zealand seaman, flown to Seattle, Washington, by helicopter from 130 miles at sea, is reported to be seriously ill at a Seattle hospital. A spokesman for the United States Public Health Service Hospital said Thomas Wray Halliday, aged 36, of Lyttelton, was suffering from head and chest injuries.
