BENEFITS RAISED
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 10. The Minister of Health (Mr McKay) announced today that hospital benefits for patients in private hospitals are to be increased from August 1. Benefits for medical patients will be increased from 35s to 40s, and for surgical and maternity patients from 50s to 595. The benefits were last increased from April 1 last year.
