COLOUR TV COST

(N.Z. Press Association) LONDON, Aug. 11. Britain's first colour-tele-vision sets, ready by the end of next year, will cost 35s a went to hire—or about £225 to buy. Joseph Robinson, chairman of Radio Rentals, predicted. He announced the link between his group and the Radio Corporation of America. A £1 million factory to be set up in Britain by the two companies will be producing the tube, the most important and costly component of a colour television set, which would otherwise have had to be imported.
