Concerned At Visa Ban
The report that Professor D. F. Lawden had been refused a visa to visit the United States was viewed with concern in a resolution passed by the Canterbury branch of the Royal Society of New Zealand on August 8. The resolution described Professor Lawden as a fellow of the society, a Hector medallist, and a distinguished member of the Canterbury branch.
