Bungalow Sold For £7000
A five-roomed weatherboard bungalow at 254 Antigua street was bought for £7OOO at public auction yesterday by the Canterbury and West Coast branch of the New Zealand Crippled Children Society, the owners of the adjoining property. There is also a garage on the section of 19 perches, which is zoned industrial B. The auctioneer, Mr D. Chapman, opened the bidding at £6400, then took six bids of £lOO. The property was offered on account of Mary Frances McTeigue, by Ford and Hadfield Ltd., acting in conjunction with Christchurch Land Sales. Passed In A Riccarton bungalow, approximately 40 years old, at 61 Hanrahan street, was passed in at £3150. The property was offered on account of the estate of Alice May Wilson by Mr E. G. Keenan. The house has two livingrooms, three bedrooms, pantry, bathroom, two kichens and laundry. There is also a garage on the section of 30.4 perches.
