YONKERS WINS
N.Z. Horses’ Good Run New Zealand - bred horses won seven races at Yonkers Raceway, New York, during the week ended July 30. However, they did not appear to enjoy their usual run of success at other meetings [ throughout the United j States. j Aiblins, by Stormyway, was I promoted to first in a race of 4000 dollars won in 2min 6 4-ssec on July 25. Two nights ; later when the track was i sloppy, Safe Return, by ; Secure, won in 2min 9 3-ssec iin a race of 5000 dollars, while Hurry’ On. by Johnny Globe, and James Evander. by Great Evander, both won races worth 4000 dollars in 2min 10 3-ssec. Orbiter raced in a free-for-all of 6000 dollars, but the conditions cannot have suited him as he finished sixth behind Russet Chip in 2min 7 3-ssec. Omar On, by Thunder On, won again in 2min 3 l-ssec on July 29, the stake this time being 5500 dollars. Omar On has been a big success in America. Yakety Yak, by Van Dieman, won the same night in 2min 3 2-ssec in a race of 4000 dollars.
Mars, by Burns Night won in 2min 2 l-ssec on July 30. the race carrying a stake of 5500 dollars. Fitment by Scottish Star, [ won a race of 2000 dollars in 2min 3sec at Sportsman’s I Park, Chicago, while Spring I Garrison, by Garrison Hanover, finished second in 2min 1 2 2-ssec in a race of 3800 doli lars. Highland Glen, a 14-year-old son of Highland Kilt, won a I race of 1000 dollars in 2min 9 3-ssec at Pocono Downs, | where Elbee, by Light Bri--1 gade, won in 2min 6 2-ssec in a race worth 800 dollars. Caught Napping, by Court
i Martial, won in 2min 6 l-ssec lin a race of 1900 dollars at I Brandywine, completing the list of New Zealand successes 'for the week.
