SIX JUNIOR NOMINEES
Six Canterbury players have been nominated for the NewZealand junior team to play the Lions at Wellington on August 31. They are:—W. D. Cottrell (second five-eighths), L. J. Davis (half-back), P. K. Hatchwell (centre), K. Tanner (prop), A. Wyllie (side-row), A. J. Banks (lock). Cottrell, Davis, Wyllie, Tanner and Banks played for Canterbury against the Lions. Davis captained the juniors team against the Springboks last season and Wyllie and Cottrell were emergencies for the team. The following players have been chosen for the Canterbury B training squad:— N. J. O'Brien, G. J. Wattereus, D. J. Davison, W. J. Thompson, R. J. Woolhouse, J. R. Adams, W. T. Tapsell, M. Brown, K. Gtmblett, R. Inwood , R. Eastmond. D. D. Wilson, J. Kirby, M. R. Perkins (Sheffield), D. Wynne, D. Bartlett, W. Scott (Dunsandel), G. Cron, M. J. Sheehan (Leeston). Training Rugby Park, 10 a m.
