Fertiliser Plant Plan Dropped
(N.Z. Press Association) HAMILTON, August 9. Plans for a £1.500.000 fertiliser works near Te Kuiti have been cancelled. Instead. King Country farmers will be asked to take shares in the Bay of Plenty Co-operative Fertiliser Company. Shareholders of King Country Fertiliser Investigation, Ltd., have come to the conclusion that although the establishment of a fertilise! works near Te Kuiti is practicable, it would be economically unwise in the light of an offer from the Bay of Plenty company.
