MOKE CREEK COPPER
Court Grants Licence An application by New Zealand Mineral Developments. Ltd., for a mineral licence for the Moke creek copper deposits was granted in the Warden’s Court at Cromwell yesterday. Mr G. P. Walker, a director of the company, said that the application will now go to the Minister of Mines (Mr Shand) for his signature. Most of the shares in the company had already been taken up by a cross-section of the New Zealand public. The directors still wanted the company to be New Zealand owned and operated, and had decided to leave the issue open for a short time before accepting overseas applications, said Mr Walker.
