M.L.C. Fire And General
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, July 26. The Mutual Life and Citizens Assurance Company Ltd. will take over management of its fire and general subsidiaries from the New Zealand Insurance Company on April 1 next year. In the past, the New Zealand Insurance Company has managed the underwriting activities of the M.L.C. Fire and General Insurance Company Pty. Ltd. and the M.L.C. Fire and General Insurance Company (N.Z.) Ltd. in both Australia and New Zealand. After negotiations over the last few months, this arrangement is being phased out on mutually satisfactory terms, M.L.C. and N.Z. Insurance directors announced today. A similar step was taken last year by the Australian Mutual Provident Society.
