Obituary Mr D. P. Alexander
(N.Z Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 27. A former general manager of Dalgety and New Zealand Loan, Ltd., Mr D’Arcy Phillips Alexander, of Auckland, has died. He was 65. Born in Auckland and educated at Auckland Grammar School, Mr Alexander joined Dalgety’s when he was 16 and was manager at Te Kuiti, Invercargill and Auckland before becoming general manager in 1955. He was on the boards of the National Mutual Life Insurance Company and Shaw Savill, and was also a member of the Stock Agents’ Association.
A keen sportsman, he represented New Zealand at hockey in Australia in the 19205.
