(N.Z.P.A. Reuter—Copyright) SINGAPORE, July 27. Hopes for the full resumption of trade between Indonesia and Singapore are high on the eve of the scheduled arrival of a 30-member Indonesian factfinding mission.

A number of Singapore businessmen, who had trade connexions with Indonesia before confrontation began three yean ago, are reported to be stocking up several commodities for the expected resumption of trade. Certain consumer goods, such as ready-made shirts, textiles, rice, sugar and medical products have suddenly risen in demand. The Indonesian mission, the first of its kind to visit Singapore since Indonesia recognised the island republic early last month, is expected to dis-

cuss resumption of trade immigration and customs arrangements, telecommunications, postal, shipping and air services. The mission will be led by Mohammad Razif, Indonesia's first Consul-General to Singapore in 1950. The deputyleader will be Colonel Mohamad Dradjat, of Indonesia's “crush Malaysia” command. The mission is expected to spend about a week in Singapore. Before confrontation began in 1963, trade with Indonesia amounted to about 15 per cent of Singapore's total foreign trade.
