Indonesia’s Army leader, Lieutenant-General Suharto, has warned militant students that the Army will deal with anyone who tries to hamper the work of the new Cabinet. The general, head of the cabinet presidium, told a delegation of the Students’ Action Front (Kami): “If people or groups try to hamper or sabotage the new Cabinet —then they will have to deal with the armed forces.” The blunt warning coincided with a statement declaring dissatisfaction with the new Cabinet announced on Monday by Djakarta joint action fronts, representing university and high school students, labourers, teachers and other civilian groups.

Relations Severed.—Kuwait has decided to sever its relations with Portugal.
