TROOPS FOR FIJI
57 To Leave On Monday Fifty-seven men from the Ist Battalion Depot, Royal New. Zealand Infantry Regiment, at Burnham Military Camp, will leave Christchurch Airport for Fiji next Monday to take part in Exercise Tropic Dawn. Captain L. J. Lynch will be tn charge of the party, which will comprise two officers and 55 other ranks. A CI3OE Hercules of the Royal New Zealand Air Force will fiy the troops to Fiji and wM return them on August 8. The party’s equipment wit! include a utility vehicle and trailer. The exercise aims to give the infantrymen jungle training in the Waindewa area of the island.
A medical orderly from the 3rd Field Ambulance will accompany the party.
