HOSPITAL SPENDING
No Delay On Re-building The Health Department’s instructions to hospital boards to take steps to reduce expenditure for 196647 by more than 2 per eent would not affect the North Canterbury Hospital Board’s rebuilding plans, said Dr. L. C. L. Averill, chairman of the board, yesterday. Dr. Averill said the rebuilding costs would be met from loan moneys, and the Health Department circular referred to other expenditure. The circular had been received by the board, and would be discussed at a finance committee meeting today and by the board itself next
