STUDY BY CABINET
Controllers’ Salaries (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. July 18. The Prime Minister (Mr Hdyoake) said tonight that the Cabinet would consider the question of salaries to be paid to air traffic controllers as a result of the findings of a committee of inquiry into the subject. Mr Holyoake gave this undertaking to a deputation of air traffic controllers and the Public Service Association, which saw him this afternoon. The Minister of Labour (Mr Shand) and the Minister of Civil Aviation (Mr McAlpine) also attended the meeting. Broken Ankle.—A powercyclist Mr J. McConnell, of 10 Rowcliffe crescent suffered a broken ankle in a collision with a car at the corner of Webb street and Papanui road about 4.45 p.m. yester'day.
