Two of the three prisoners who escaped from New Plymouth on Friday were recaptured on Saturday afternoon while sitting on a blanket listening on a transistor radio to the Lions-Ail Blacks test match. aearching the Waiwakaiho river valley when the men were found at 3.40 p.m. The two men will appear in the Magistrate’s Court at New Plymouth tomorrow charged with escaping from lawful custody. The Dannevirke police tonight reported that a man answering the description of Murray had been given a lift by a motorist to Takapau, 22 miles north of Dannevirke, yesterday afternoon.
