KINDERGARTEN COLLEGE
Closing Date For Applications For the first time for some years the Christchurch Kindergarten Training College would advertise a closing date for applicants, said the principal (Mrs E. B. Dalmer).
“This is because the task of interviewing applicants has become unmanageable unless we start it very early in the year,” said Mrs Dalmer. “We hope that by closing applications at the end of this term, we will be able to begin interviewing almost at once,” she said. “The interviewing should then be completed well before the School Certificate examination starts.”
Mrs Dalmer said that last year 127 applications were received for 30 vacancies. These came from all parts of the South Island and some from the North Island.
“Interviewing these girls -in small groups is a very long task,” she said. “This closing date will give us more time to select girls and it will also give unsuccessful applicants more time to apply for other jobs.”
