Police said yesterday they had cracked what was believed to be a terrorist group called the National Liberation Movement formed to promote Quebec Independence by violent means. A police raid late on Friday night on a Montreal flat produced -a cache of arms, Canadian
Army uniforms, and revolutionary literature. The literature Included pamphlets on “How to fight in the streets” and “How to start a revolution.” Robert Levesque, aged 25, and Rejean Briggs, aged 22, were arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit an armed robbery at a Montreal military armoury. Levesque was held in custody and Briggs freed on bail
