Three Women Killed When Car Overturns

' (New Zealand Press Association) MOTUEKA, June 19. Three women were killed near Motueka on Saturday night when the car in which they were travelling overturned in a ditch.

A fourth woman was taken to hospital. She is in a satisfactory condition. The accident occurred at Harakeke, about seven miles south of Motueka, at 9.45 p.m. The women killed were Anne Matilda Matthews, aged 29, of Hastings; Matekoanga Marena Wawatai, aged 27, of Waimatetine Tiki Tiki; Gisborne Lanette Wairakau Walker, aged 18, of Lower Hutt.
