AIRCRAFT DELAYED
The aircraft due to pick up 18 horses in Christchurch and leave early yesterday for the United States has been delayed and it will not arrive until 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Negotiations were completed on Saturday for the sale of Paddy’s Day to the New York trainer, F. Gerry, and he will be among the horses on the aircraft Paddy’s Day was a winner for the Belfast trainer, C. S. Donald, after being trained earlier in his career by his breeder, G. McKendry.
