Irwell Causes Second Upset For the second consecutive week Irwell upset a more fancied team in the Ellesmere Rugby Sub-Association’s senior competition. On Saturday, Irwell beat Burnham, 13-6, after defeating the competiiton leader, Leeston, the week before. Senior points, after eight series, are:—Leeston 12, Burnham 10, Southbridge 10, Irwell 8, Dunsandel 8, Hororata 8, Darfleld 6, Lincoln 2, Peninsula 0. Results were:— Senior A.—Southbridge 42, Lincoln 0; Irwell 13, Burnham 6; Dunsandel 14, Peninsula 0: Hororata 9, Darfleld 3; Leeston bye. Senior B.—Leeston 20, Prebbleton 8. Junior.—lrwell 28.
