Anne Lane Fancied In Woodstock Stakes

Anne Lane, Craddock, Crojack and Sue Paul seem foremost in a full list of possibilities for the first leg of the T.A.B. double, the Woodstock Stakes Handicap, at Te Awamutu today. Except for Craddock each is in good form, and Craddock looks in the condition to win again at any time. Persian Heir, now that G. F. Hughes has the mount, promises to be a warm favourite for the second leg, the Kihikihi Handicap. The event is for horses which at time of entry had not won flat races worth £l5OO or more to the winner. The ground has dried during a spell of fine, clear weather, and the going promises to be in excellent order for winter.
