(N.Z. Press Ajsociaiton) WELLINGTON. June 17. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) today declined to table the report made by the Director-General of Health (Dr. D. P. Kennedy) after his recent visit to the New Zealand surgical unit at Qui Nhon. Dr. A. M. Finlay (Opp., Waitakere) had asked Mr Holyoake to table the report. Members disquieted by what they had seen at Qui Nhon in various inspections over the last three years might then be assured that allimportant questions had
been investigated and that action was likely. Mr Holyoake said It would not be appropriate to table Dr. Kennedy's report. It was made on a confidential basis, and contained a number of comments affecting other governments. It was a “most helpful report,” Mr Holyoake said. On Wednesday Mr Holyoake said the Government was considering shortening the working term of New Zealand surgical staff at Qui Nhon.
